Receptionist

Full and part-time positions available. Reception experience required. Experience in a veterinary or medical environment a plus. We need an outgoing person who likes working with people and their pets. The ideal candidates will be comfortable with a fast pace and be very detailed oriented to insure a high quality of care. This person represents the "first impression" of the hospital. The receptionist is responsible for the following:

-answering phones and providing the customer service required by current and potential clients;
-setting up and doing telephone confirmation of appointments;
-check in and check out of the patients we care for;
-keeping client computer records up to date; explaining charges;
-completing payment transactions;
-opening and closing the hospital and insuring security system is activated;
-executing some of the hospital marketing vehicles such as new client welcome letters, birthday postcards, and special offers.

Applicants should live within a 15-mile radius and be available every other Saturday. We offer competitive compensation based on experience. Animal Attendant

Full or part time positions available for animal attendant/technician assistant. We will train but experience is a plus. We maintain a high standard of care and cleanliness therefore we need responsible, detail oriented, multi-tasking individuals to join our team. We offer competitive compensation based on experience. For our full time employees we also offer insurance, profit sharing and vacation benefits. In addition to weekdays, applicants need to be available some weekends and evenings. Given the potential for emergencies, the ideal candidates should live within a 15 mile radius. This is a rewarding position that includes the following responsibilities:

-admitting patients for examinations, treatments or boarding;
-exercising the animals in our care several times a day;
-insuring that animals fed and watered often and that they are comfortable with toys, blankets, etc.
-keeping their runs and cages continuously clean;
-bathing and nail trims;
-assisting the veterinarian and technicians with treatments and medications;
-insuring that animals are attended to over the weekend and on holidays;
-providing ongoing TLC to those "family members" who are boarding with us or with us for surgery.
