Here you’ll find answers to the most commonly asked questions here at Family Member Veterinary Hospital. We hope these help, but if you need any further information, please call 949-472-3555.
1. What is included in the boarding package?
We are committed to ensuring that your family member receives ideal interaction and lots of TLC while they are staying with us. All dogs will receive at least three walks a day with the option of adding more. We can provide additional personal play time upon owner’s request.
2. Do you provide meals?
Owners are more then welcome to bring their own food or we can provide it for them. We feed only the highest quality of pet food. All family members will be monitored and made sure to have fresh water at all times. Feeding instructions can be given upon drop-off to make sure they are sticking to their regular schedule.
3. Do you accept boarders that need medications over the duration of their stay?
If your family member is on any medications we will be happy to make sure they are receiving the proper dose on the schedule prescribed by the doctor.
4. Are the pets able to socialize with others staying at the facility?
Our boarders are kept separate unless otherwise instructed by the owner (i.e. if we are taking care of multiple pets from the same family).
5. Can we drop-off or pick-up on Sunday?
We do not offer drop-off or pick-ups on Sunday; however members of our staff will be coming in to take care of all animals staying the weekend.
6. We accept all breeds of dogs and cats.
7. Can we bring our pet’s personal items from home to make their stay more comfortable for them?
YES!!!! We will do our very best to make sure your pet is absolutely comfortable during their stay with us but a blanket or toy from home always helps!
8. Does my pet need to be current on any vaccines?
Yes, to protect your pet and the safety of others staying with us we do require that all family members be current on the following:
Canine:
- Intestinal Parasite Test
- Bordetella
- Rabies
- Distemper.
Feline:
- FVRCPP
- Fecal test
- Rabies
If your pet has been to another facility and is current on these we will simply need records from the facility your pet received the care.
9. How much does it cost for my family member to stay with you?
We have a variety of cage sizes and runs available and many options to select from so please call for a customized estimate.

1. How much does it cost to spay (female) and/or neuter (male) a cat or dog?
This is a commonly asked question which requires a specific plan detailed by the different needs of each pet. The breed, weight, health and age all need to be considered. Please call so we can discuss all the options with you and provide you a customized estimate.
