Family Member Veterinary Staff
The staff of Family Member Veterinary Hospital are hired for their professionalism, compassion and love of animals. We are pleased to introduce each of them to you here briefly but hope you will come in to meet each of us in person.
Doug Glover, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Doug Glover is a 1985 graduate of Kansas State University. He has been providing care for small animals in California since 1987 and opened “Family Member” in 1997. The name of the hospital originates from his guiding philosophy which is to provide the level of service desired by clients who consider their pets “one of the family”. He and his wife Tina, who is actively involved in the business, have been happily married for 33 years and have five “four-legged kids.” Terra Cotta, their Brittany Spaniel, joined them in 1999. Ruby, a mixed rescue dog, adopted Doug and Tina in 2001. Willie (the Wildcat after his favorite mascot) and Nigel is an abuse survivor were adopted in 2007. Tigger is a Scottish Fold who was rescued in 2008. Then there is the newest family member, Forte who was one of our fosters who they couldn’t give up. Dr. Glover and Tina enjoy traveling and following Kansas State University sports. His goal is to provide the utmost in quality care for your pet and make visiting the veterinarian a positive experience. He welcomes the chance to earn your trust and the privilege of caring for your special pet.
Edward, Lead Veterinary Technician and Hospital Manager
Edward has been employed at Family Member Veterinary Hospital since 2002. He has progressed from volunteer through many different positions up to technician and is now the current Hospital Manager. Edward has worked on and off over the years while attending Cal Poly Pomona. While at Cal Poly Pomona he earned his B.S. in Biology and his M.Sc. in neurophysiology and became a published scientist. Edward has also taught Biology at Cal Poly Pomona and trained research students in his field. Edward’s next academic adventure is at UCI where he is now pursuing a graduate certificate in paralegal studies. His peers view him as a leader and we are so grateful that he still finds time to contribute to our mission in any way possible. Outside of Family Member you can find Edward playing tennis, creating art, writing, or playing fetch with his dog Mr. Belvedere.
